About Us

The Brockton Area Workforce Investment Board is a nonprofit organization serving the Greater Brockton area whose main objective is to build a workforce investment system that is responsive to customer needs, connects job seekers with employers, and increases our investment in youth. Per the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, BAWIB seeks to attain the following goals:

• Increase the employability skills of youth and job seekers
• Provide employers with qualified workers
• Increase earnings and retention rates of employees
• Reduce welfare dependency
• Help employers compete in a global market.
